This week we will have quick one-on-one meetings. I will call you over to my desk (please bring your Chromebook) to take a look at your portfolio and answer any questions you may have. As I meet with each class member it is important everyone is also making progress in FREE CODE CAMP. Please, don't just work in free code camp... because you are working at your own pace, creating your own algorithm of learning, please also make an entry in your "What I did today" page. Free code camp is a great resource to learn ALL THINGS Web Development.
Each week you will be given an allotted amount of time, usually on Mondays or as you complete normal lessons early, to work on progress toward certification using free code camp.

Today, we are going to create our electronic portfolios. Our electronic portfolios are containers to add all of our assignments. Think of assignments as artifacts and evidence of what you have learned or what you know how to do.
To create your portfolio, please go to sites.google.com and create a new google site. Make sure to share your google site with lamarchesa@tfsd.org
Here are some video instructions. | [Video Instructions HERE
You may also find it helpful to view my EXAMPLE portfolio. Take a moment to read my bio on my "about me" page. I know I am excited to read your biography. No "about me" page would be complete without a picture. You can take a picture at lunch with your cell phone or add one you have access to at home. Oh, and remember that day-one form you filled out? We're going to use that today. Here are some instructions to add the day one survey artifact to your portfolio. Feel free to change the theme and make this portfolio your own.
**remember if you finish early** work on FCC on your server-side scripted language of your choice.
Welcome to Class!
Please take a moment to fill out the Day 1 form. This is the big blue button. Once you have submitted your response, you will be sent a receipt with your answers via email. Please make sure you keep this receipt as you will be adding this to your Web App Portfolio.
